BuildingSmart Canada

The Canadian chapter of buildingSMART International has been established to provide the appropriate body and home for Canadian BIM Standards Developmentthrough participation in the development of international BIM standards as the voice of the Canadian marketplace and to promote the awareness of buildingSMART International (bSI) within Canada.

- Free Membership​

- $500 to $2,000 for BIM Leader, Vanguard and Champion sponsorship

 

 

Canada BIM Council (CanBIM)

CanBIM’s mission is to provide professional, educational, construction, fabrication and supply chain members a collective voice dedicated to BIM. To provide members with advocacy, learning opportunities and best practices for BIM in a Canadian context while maintaining connectivity with international partners. To engage membership in order to address their needs toward developing an industry consensus on BIM. 

- $0 to $2,000 per year depending on categories

- $100 to $460 every 2 years for Certification

 

 

Institute for BIM in Canada (IBC)  

IBC acts as the authoritative voice for BIM in Canada, to lead and facilitate the coordinated use of BIM in the design, construction and management of the Canadian built environment. To define collaborative approaches and solutions between stakeholders in the BIM environment. To develop and recommend “best practices” policies, tools and procedures to support BIM utilization.
